If you are looking for a large-sized persimmon tannin fan, this is a must-see.
To give depth to the fan paper, the "shibu-biki" process involves brushing on color three times, then, after it dries, applying persimmon tannin (shibu) extracted from persimmon fruits three times. This processing gives the paper durability and a unique luster, and is also said to have antibacterial and insect repellent effects.
Due to it being handmade, the luster and color may subtly vary from time to time. Another characteristic is that its luster increases with age, beautifully changing over time.
This fan is about 3cm longer than a standard men's fan, making it larger and generating more airflow, perfect for those seeking to cool down. We also recommend this sturdy fan, supported by traditional techniques, for taller individuals.

Features of Paper Fans
・Made by layering three sheets of paper and inserting ribs, giving them strength and durability.
・The ribs are not exposed, making them beautiful from any angle and usable on both sides. Some are hand-painted by artists and can be enjoyed as art.
・They generate a lot of airflow and feel cool because air does not escape when fanned.
・Incense is applied to the tip of the middle ribs, and the subtle Japanese scent is another charm. (The scent will fade over time)
